PDI (Playwright's Discovery/Development Initiative), a "Document for Discourse" has been widely distributed to over 2,500 people nationally. The galley documents the discussion of a national panel of African American theater theorists and practitioners. Taking place between 1992 to 1999, the panel developed a paradigm to guide the writer in projecting authentic African American plays. The panel also discussed traditional archetypes, strategies for playwright development, production processes as a collaboration toward the development of a school of thought about what Black theater can and should be.

The second volume of the PDI conversations is to be published by the Third World Press and will be available in early 2007

Calendar: Annually, eta publishes a "lottery calendar" with prizes each day of the year. Drawings are held quarterly. The calendar is a wonderful historical document of Black theater as experienced by eta. Available in November @ $10.00 plus $2.50 S & H.
